Before Lee was born, I wanted him to be bilingual in English and Chinese. So I told Hubby that after Lee is born I would speak only Chinese during the daytime with the babies.
Fast forward 8 months or so....
English just flows out of me. The Chinese within is fading fast. There was only one day, last week in fact, that I tried speaking only Chinese. It was hard. There were so many terms and words that I struggled to say with the babies. I still want Lee to know Chinese, to be capable of understanding and speaking. I need to work harder. Will I be able to? What will he think of the language change? How would Race react?
